The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on hhelectricfires.com. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The placement of an order also indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions also extend to cover mail order sales not sold via the website. We recommend that you read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.

General

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery within the UK. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Any links from this site to other web sites have been included for your convenience only. However, the inclusion of a link does not imply that we endorse any responsibility for the linked site, its content or provider. Access to a linked site will be subject to that sites own terms and conditions to which you should refer.

We will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. You are legally entitled to request details of the personal information which we hold about you, under the UK’s Data Protection Act 1998.

Description of Goods

All items on this website are MADE TO ORDER and as such are classed as ‘SPECIAL ORDER’.  All products available on this website are of a technical nature and it would be impractical for us to publish detailed technical specifications. The descriptions given are believed to be accurate to the best of our knowledge. All drawings, descriptions and specifications are merely for the purpose of providing you with approximate information about the goods before you make a purchase. We would however recommend that you check specific technical details of products with the manufacturer if in doubt.

Technical specifications and details are subject to upgrade or change at the manufacturer’s discretion. We supply products as supplied to us from the manufacturer. 

Payment and Price

The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed. We are entitled to adjust the price to take account of any increase in our supplier’s prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order.

Availability of Goods

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these and we will refund any money already paid for them. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses you may suffer if we do not supply the goods.

Delivery Charges

All prices on our website are inclusive of delivery charges to most UK Mainland addresses. Delivery is free for UK Mainland addresses as specified. We reserve the right to refuse the supply of goods at our discretion ordered by you to be delivered to any postcodes which incur extra charges.

Delivery Times

Delivery of items will normally be made within 4-6 weeks from clearance of payment. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. Please note free delivery is a one-man service. Please make provision to assist the delivery driver when ordering large products or if you live in a flat where there are stairs involved to deliver to your premises. We strongly recommend that you do not book fitters for your appliances until you have received and inspected your goods. No liability will be accepted for losses caused by late, faulty, or damaged appliances.

Delivery of Goods

As soon as we have delivered the goods to your door you will be responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery. 

Please note if you delay in accepting the goods, our delivery responsibility for everything other than any damage due to negligence will end on the date the carrier tried to deliver the goods to you. The carrier shall be entitled to hold the goods in storage and to charge you the reasonable costs of such storage and insurance which you will be liable to pay to them. You may also be liable for an additional delivery charge caused by these events in the re-delivery of the goods for a second time.

Installation

When working with electrical appliances you should always consult an appropriate professional electrician. Always read and follow any relevant manuals and safety instructions. When working with electricity always turn off the mains supply.

We strongly recommend that you do not book fitters for your appliances until you have received and inspected your goods. Please note our prices do not include fitting of the fire, it is the responsibility of the customer to arrange safe and suitable fitting of the fire and fireplace.

Typographical Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information, taxes, or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If you have already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately give you a full refund.

Time Limitation for Notification of Claims

Damage in transit: If goods arrive in a damaged condition, you must make a note on the carrier’s delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 24 hours from delivery.

Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the carrier’s delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us within 24 hours from delivery.

In-Correct Goods: It is your responsibility to notify us of any in-correct goods supplied within 24 hours from delivery.

Non-Deliveries: We will not accept liability for goods lost in transit unless we are notified within 2 days from the expected delivery date. If goods returned under this clause are found to be perfect and in full working order, these will be returned to you and an administration fee of 15% of the price of the goods along with the cost of carriage will be charged to your credit card account.

Cancellation of Orders – Returns Policy

You are entitled to withdraw from this contract within 48 hours of placing the order for a full credit or refund. Please note beyond 48 hours the right to cancel does not apply as all fires are classed as special orders and made to order. Please note it is your responsibility to ensure that the goods you order are specified to meet your intended purpose. We therefore recommend that you independently research the goods before you purchase them from us. Should you find you need to cancel this order after the 48 hours please contact us on the telephone number above. (If the manufacturer has not commenced production, we may be able to liaise with them to enable cancellation). Any cancellation will incur a 1% card transaction fee.

 

Faulty Items

The fire is covered by the manufacturers guarantee for all working parts for 2 years. In such instances, please contact our customer support helpline or direct to the manufacturer. This returns policy does not affect your legal rights.
